I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University (Tokyo, Japan).
My research focuses on the politics of developed democracies and links the ideological positions of parties and voters to several democratic outcomes.
My main research interests include the process of European integration, the contentious relationship between populism and liberal democracy and the ideology and value orientations of party elites and the electorates.
In addition to my research commitment to Italian politics, I am particularly interested in the politics of my host country, Japan.
